Reality

Reality is defined as the state or quality of being real. This definition can mean different things to everyone. Of course we call know the difference between real and fake. For example, we know the difference between watching a movie and living our own lives. However, these lines do sometimes get blurred. The example of the interactive Watchmen promoter is an example. We know Watchmen is a movie, but then this movie is suddenly calling real cell phones. The line of reality is getting blurred. I may look at this situation as a movie calling my phone to attract publicity, while someone else may look at it as a real person calling my phone and talking about the movie Watchman. The line of reality is blurred, but sometimes people pick a side to relate to. This raises the question of: how far is can we go over the line of reality? When lines start to get blurred such as the reality/fantasy line, problems may occur. For example, people hiding behind cyber walls and living their lives through the internet or video games. This is not reality. Reality, to me, is being able to actually feel both emotionally and physically. When the lines of reality and fantasy become blurred, people get lost in the mix. Although I know the interactive reality verse fantasy games are for fun- some people cannot tell the difference. I believe reality is just as the definition says- the state or quality of being real. Reality includes everything, the good and the bad. When the lines become blurred, we forget that reality is not always great but it is something you can feel.
